Parent Assistance

Parental involvement in their child’s education is vital to the running of an effective school. Parents are encouraged to participate in the life of the school in which ever way they feel comfortable.  Opportunities include Working Bees, Parents Club, School Board are helping in specific events.

We also run a Parent Helpers Program.  Part of this program involves training parents to work in the classroom.  The training program is run in Term 1  every second year It’s aim is to make sure Parents are informed of up to date educational research and best practise. Parents who are assisting children during activities need to obtain a Working With Children Check. Forms are available from the school office but need to be completed by the parent and returned to the school office.

We also encourage parents to maintain regular contact with parents to ensure we are catering for the changing needs which your child has.
